Using Active Directory Sites and Services
To set a domain controller as the bridgehead server for the Active Directory site, using Active Directory Sites and Services, perform these steps:
- Open Active Directory Sites and Services (dssite.msc).
- In the left navigation pane, expand the Sites node.
- In the left navigation pane, expand the Servers node.
- In the left navigation pane, right-click the domain controller that you want to set as the bridgehead server and select Properties from the menu.
- On the General tab, select IP and/or SMTP from the list under Transports available for inter-site data transfer:. Click Add >> to set the domain controller as the bridgehead servers for the selected transport(s) in the list underneath This server is a preferred bridgehead server for the following transports:.
- Click OK.
